What is intelligent purification?
By leveraging rapid, preparation-free analytical techniques and AI assistance, the processes of synthesis, purification, and identification are broken down into simple steps, making purification and identification more straightforward.
How to perform intelligent purification?
Intersoft®X software and Genius can recommend the optimal purification method for you, enabling rapid method development and making the process more convenient and efficient.
Step 1: Monitor the reaction using TLC thin-layer chromatography.
After the reaction, samples were taken by TLC. Using a combined TLC/CMS approach, spots were directly sampled from the thin-layer chromatography plate and then identified using the expression®CMS compact benchtop mass spectrometer.
Step 2: Conversion from TLC to Flash method
Using the mobile app, the TLC-to-Flash method conversion is achieved, enabling the upload of thin-layer chromatography separation data into the Flash system. This provides optimal separation conditions for fraction collection, followed by purification using the puriFlash® system.
Take a photograph of the thin-layer chromatography plate, enter the file name, mark the spots of interest, the purification yield, and the solvents used. The data is then sent via Bluetooth to the puriFlash® system, where the Genius software automatically assists in building the method.
The screen displays the total UV spectrum, where you can locate the peaks in the graph for use in the next step of fraction confirmation analysis.
Step 3: Obtain the fraction ID in under 30 seconds.
To collect fractions via UV, it is necessary to confirm the fraction IDs to ensure that the target compounds have been eluted. You can take a small sample of each compound’s fraction and analyze it using ASAP/CMS.
Fraction confirmation via ASAP and expression®CMS requires simply dipping the probe into the fraction collection tube to collect a sample, then directly inserting it into the mass spectrometer—results can be obtained within 30 seconds.
