Solvent volatilization poses significant health risks. Volatile gases released in laboratories will contaminate the air, posing hazards increasing the risks to the laboratory and the surroundings.

The solvent and waste liquid sealing lid addresses the issue of solvent evaporation at its source, preventing harmful gases from escaping into the working environment and safeguarding the safety of laboratory personnel.

Sealed Sampling System

The top features a double-layer microporous filter membrane that prevents dust and tiny particles from the air from entering the solvent bottle. A carefully designed one-way air valve effectively inhibits solvent evaporation while ensuring smooth and reliable solvent withdrawal.

Waste Liquid Centralized Collection System

Waste liquid bottles and buckets are typically placed beneath laboratory benches, while the universal fume hood has limited suction power and can only capture a small portion of the volatile gases in the immediate vicinity. As a result, volatile gases from waste liquids freely circulate throughout the lab, making them the number-one source of indoor air pollution.

The exhaust filter inside the waste liquid collection system features a high-efficiency activated carbon adsorbent, with microporous filtration membranes at both the top and bottom ends. This configuration can capture and filter up to 99% of waste gases. An audible and visual alarm (optional) alerts operators when the waste liquid tank is full. Whether it’s organic solvents or other volatile and hazardous chemicals, they can all be safely collected, ensuring the safety of operating personnel.

All components are resistant to corrosion by organic solvents. The entire pipeline is installed behind the test bench, and waste liquids are collected centrally in a waste liquid container via piping, which not only prevents solvent evaporation but also simplifies management.

After being stored for 7 days in a semi-open solvent bottle, an 80% methanol aqueous solution experienced a 2% reduction in volume and a 1% decrease in methanol concentration. However, when a safety cap was used under the same conditions, the changes in both volume and concentration were negligible.

The volatile organic solvent concentration at the opening of a semi-open waste liquid container can reach 50–150 ppm. After installing a safety cap, the volatile concentration drops to below the ppm level. This is particularly beneficial for odor-prone samples—such as those containing tenofovir—where the safety cap on the waste liquid container helps improve work efficiency.
