SP-C8-P series uses ultra-high-purity spherical silica gel bonded with octyl groups and fully end-capped, making the stationary phase less hydrophobic than conventional ODS fillers. This makes it perfect for analyzing compounds that are retained too strongly on C18 phases or for situations where you want to speed up analysis.
It comes in four pore sizes: 6nm, 12nm, 20nm, and 30nm, so you can pick the best one based on the size of your target molecules.
For analyzing and preparing compounds that are more hydrophobic and have larger molecular weights, columns with 20nm or 30nm pore size fillers are usually chosen.
