SP-C4-P series uses ultra-pure spherical silica gel with a butyl-bonded phase, showing moderate hydrophobicity. It comes in four pore sizes: 6nm, 12nm, 20nm, and 30nm, which can be optimized based on the size of your target molecules.
The 12nm, 20nm, and 30nm pore sizes are better suited for separating peptides or proteins. Especially since larger pore silica has a smaller surface area and lower hydrophobicity, it’s perfect for separating large, hydrophobic molecules without causing protein denaturation.
SP-300-5-C4 with 30nm pores is great for reversed-phase analysis of peptides and proteins. The C4 bonded phase is also excellent for analyzing compounds with a wide range of hydrophobicities at the same time.
