The Venusil series of packing materials use Agela's independently developed dual-layer silicone surface treatment technology. Through a stable raw material control process and a technically specialized mixing and bonding process, the chemical stability of the packing is greatly improved. It's a cost-effective, general-purpose reverse-phase silica gel packing, effectively ensuring sample loading, retention, and lifespan during preparation and purification. Agela's unique packing production process ensures that the particles have uniform size, pore distribution, and smooth surfaces, resulting in excellent mechanical strength, separation efficiency, and outstanding batch-to-batch consistency.

 

The Venusil series is Agela's high-performance preparative HPLC packing, made from high-purity silica with a high spVecific surface area, strong retention and separation capability, and high stability.

 

Core product lines and features:

Venusil® Prep

  • Designed with a high specific surface area (340 m²/g) and high carbon load (17%), it can significantly increase the sample loading amount while keeping good separation and retention values.
  • Its particle size is 10 μm and pore size is 120 Å, making it suitable for high flow rate and high throughput chromatography.
  • By using a double end-capping technique, the residual active silanol groups on the silicone surface were reduced, which lowered the non-specific adsorption between the sample and the stationary phase, thus significantly improving contamination resistance.
  • The high-purity silicone matrix (purity >99.999%) further boosts its resistance to contamination and extends its lifespan.

Venusil® AQ C18(3)

  • Polar compound expert: can handle 100% aqueous mobile phase
  • Excellent peak shapes: acidic, basic, and neutral compounds all show symmetric peaks.
  • Application scenarios: Purification of polar compounds like peptides, oligonucleotides, and mononucleotides.

Venusil® ASB

  • The king of low pH resistance (pH 0.8–7.5): steric hindrance bonding technology protects the silicon-oxygen bonds, making it suitable for separating strongly polar compounds (like organic acids and alkaloids).

Venusil® HILIC

  • Hydrophilic interactions: bond neutral amide groups to retain strongly polar substances (like hydrochloric esculin) as an alternative to traditional amino stationary phases.

Venusil® XBP

  • High carbon load (22% C18): high surface area (380 m²/g), separates complex compounds.
  • Pollution-resistant design: Large aperture (XBP C18(L)) is suitable for biological matrix samples.
