Luna
For 15 years, Luna series packing materials have been well-regarded by chemists for purification work. The high-surface-area silica gel packing, compatible with dynamic axial compression (DAC) columns, can handle purification for a wide range of compounds.
The brand-new Luna (3) particles have a more uniform size distribution, which can optimize chromatography performance, reduce column pressure, create a stable and consistent bed, improve reproducibility, boost analytical efficiency, and extend the life of your chromatography columns.
This product is manufactured under an ISO 9001:2008 quality management system, following international standards throughout the entire process.
- High surface area and large pore volume, improve sample loading capacity.
- Silica gel particles have a smooth surface, keeping the column bed filling stable.
- Particle size and pore size are optimized for better chromatography performance.
- Bonding density is carefully controlled, ensuring good reproducibility of analysis data.
Product Features

Increase versatility thanks to excellent chemical stability
Wider applications — excellent chemical stability
Luna C18(3) filler uses our unique bonding technology, offering a very high ligand surface density, which allows for a wide pH stability range (1.5-10.0). Using chemically stable silica fillers brings the following benefits:

Relying on excellent mechanical strength to achieve a longer column lifespan
Longer lifespan — excellent mechanical strength
The mechanical stability of Luna HPLC packing is crucial for the successful use of Dynamic Axial Compression (DAC) devices in large-scale purification.
Luna packing has excellent mechanical stability, allowing it to be used repeatedly for column packing and ensuring a longer lifespan for DAC HPLC systems. Particles with weaker mechanical strength can break during column packing, creating debris that clogs screens and causes unusually high backpressure. To confirm the structural integrity of Luna C18(3) packing, we repeatedly packed it in a 5 cm ID DAC system under 130 bar pressure. After each packing, no significant debris was found, proving that Luna C18(3) maintains excellent mechanical stability even after repeated DAC packing, which improves overall cost-effectiveness.
In larger DAC systems (>5 cm), the pressure applied to the silica is usually 70 bar or less, which helps extend the life of the packing. (For more information, you can request our recommended Luna (3) packing and operation guide.)

Multistep Purification of Synthetic Peptide - Liraglutide

Luna 10 pm-PREP Polar-RP high-performance packing for industrial-scale chromatography

This ether-linked phenyl phase has a polar end-capping, giving it high cation retention ability, which can improve the retention of ionizable bases. It can separate polar and/or aromatic compounds by taking advantage of very slight differences in polarity and aromaticity.
- It provides good separation for polar compounds, small molecules, and peptides.
- Offers alternative selectivity to Luna C18(3).
- 100% water-soluble and SFC compatible.
- Luna(3) has a specific surface area of 400 m²/g, offering excellent loading capacity.

Verification
The research, manufacturing, and marketing of Luna C18(3), C8(3), and Silica(3) all follow ISO 9001 standards.
