Pur C4 bonds with C4 functional groups, and the hydrophobicity of its stationary phase surface is significantly weaker than that of C8 and C18, making it very suitable for the separation of large biomolecules such as proteins, antibodies, and their fragments. Its short alkyl chain design can reduce hydrophobic interactions between biomolecules and the stationary phase, avoiding peak broadening or protein denaturation caused by excessive retention, making it a reliable choice for protein purity analysis and molecular weight determination. The extended Bio series also uses a 300Å large pore size, providing gentler separation conditions for more hydrophobic biomolecules. The entire series has a carbon load of 7% (Bio 3%) and a pH tolerance range of 2-8, making it an indispensable separation tool in the biopharmaceutical field.
