Sterile Thin-Film Evaporator


The sterile thin-film evaporator is a new type of highly efficient evaporator that uses a “gas knife” formed by the high-speed rotation of an integrated impeller to forcibly create a thin film. It operates under certain vacuum conditions and enables falling-film evaporation. This evaporator boasts a high heat-transfer coefficient, high evaporation intensity, short residence time, and adjustable operating parameters. It is particularly suitable for removing organic solvents and concentrating products such as liposomes, microspheres, peptide intermediates, and other heat-sensitive substances.

Working principle

 

The material enters the evaporator through the feed inlet at the top and, driven by the high-speed rotating impellers, forms an “air knife” that is continuously distributed along the inner wall of the evaporation cylinder. The steam generated from the evaporation cylinder rises to the vacuum pipe, where it is condensed by the condenser. The condensed solvent then flows into a collection tank, while the concentrated product after evaporation flows out from the bottom of the evaporator.

Suitable for the removal of organic solvents and concentration of products in liposomes, microspheres, peptide intermediates, and other heat-sensitive products.

  • Optional explosion-proof design available to meet the requirements for use in hazardous areas.

  • Optional temperature control system (TCU), vacuum system, and CIP station available as accessories for Jiewei.
